I love a list
Tried paper and pencil - still works best at work and I don't sit in front of a computer everyday - and I draw my own little box to tick.
Then I found Remember the Milk
and now there is Todoist which I am just getting to know - love the layout and the order of everything
And there is Goggle documents - love love love love love - I can access my documents at work and at home - it is the best indeed - still trying to get RSS feeder to work how I like - but it is great!!!!
