Trips and Significant Dates

Hi from the kittens who yesterday got collar with bells. MMMM a few minutes of WTF have you done and Po getting his jaw stuck in it - I tightened it and all was good - I trimmed them as there was at least 10cm of ends - then after an hour in the garden I had to trim and burn the ends as they had frayed about an inch.

Saturday is my second Blog anniversary - and around this time of year there are lots of significant dates for me and the sock victim. We meet, met again, got together and so on all in January two years ago - all around the time I started the blog. I was working on that really high brow TV series on the Gold Coast, ah hem NOT. Every moment possible I would drive down to Byron for hang out time with the sock victim. We had one weekend on the Cote d'azur which was heaps of fun, a swim at Labrador, yes a suburb named after a dog, a bond movie, chicken parma at the local pub. All so much fun.
So as I am still of work we are heading up to the wonderful cultured, hehehe, cote d'azure for a few days. Sock victim's dad is up there and we thought the drive would be fun. Kittens are off on a holiday too. To a friends house with a dog and another cat - I am trying to socialise them but others think I am just going to scar them for life. I think the bells have done a good job of that.

I am also making progress on my level 2 certificate for the guild. I went to the library the other day and borrowed a few Barbara Walkers and Alice Starmore's - great reference. So one large sample done already, another 1/2 way there and a few more to go - hopefully before I get back to work.

So the blog anniversary. Two sock prizes this time - a ball of hand dyed sock yarn or two balls of black and white patonyle. OK comments required and when I get back from holidays - mid next week. Sock victim will randomly pull out two names to win a prize. (pictures are not uploading at the moment - so imagine pink wool with some dark purple/ blue flecks or black and white)

Enjoy the heat and see you all soon.

Enjoy the time away. I have no idea where the cote d'azure is - other than the one in France - and, as you're driving, I've made the assumption you're not going there.

Happy Blogaversary and have a lovely break - I don't do socks so this is not for the draw.

The red yarn is lovely. I'm so impressed with people who can dye.
