1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I love wool, merino and wool blends. I am very allergic to alpaca and other fluffy yarns - and I cannot stand novelty yarns especially feathers - I have a "friends don't let friends knit with feathers" t-shirt.
I am currently deep in the mad sock frenzy of 2007- but I loved knitting with Manos del Uruguay recently.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I have my knit picks folder, a hand made knitting roll and a dodgy fishing tackle folder for my circulars - I am always trying to organise myself.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I learnt from my Nonna when I was about 7 - then had another go as a teenager but it was in 2000 when the Olympics were on in Sydney - and I fled to Melbourne for the duration - I took up knitting due to a poor social life and not much else to do in the cold months down south - don't get me wrong I love Melbourne. Then two years later another 6months in Melbourne and the discovery of a great knitting shop - Sunspun I was off. Then came the guild and then the S'n'b at Tapestry craft. I had found my true calling.....

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Yes but I need to update it.....

5. What's your favorite scent?
Rose - I have a Jo Malone tubular rose at the moment - I am an old fashioned girl at heart

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
mmmm...
try hard to kick the sugar addiction
Love white chocolate, boiled fruit cake and brussel sprouts - trying to cut down on sugar at the moment

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
Knitting is enough at the moment - would love to learn to spin - and there is a 10 sock deal with the sock victim for a spinning wheel

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
Smog, Bach, Vivaldi, Magnetic Fields, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
Black, red charcoal, pink, green - not yellow, brown or fluro colours

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I am about to move in with my sock victim and as yet we have no pets

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
yes, berets beanies look rotten on me, yes to mittens but no to ponchos

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
sock, socks, socks and lace

13. What are you knitting right now?
socks and cardies for little friends

yes

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Circular - knit picks and my Addi turbos

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
yes to both

17. How old is your oldest UFO?
I don't have a UFO beyond a few weeks I try to finish or frog don't like unfinished projects hanging over my head - too much like work

18. What is your favorite holiday?
Non in particular - Halloween is the best dress up party
Any with the sock victim - and one where I can knit Love to go skiing but haven't been for a few years.

19. Is there anything that you collect?
knitting things, snow domes, tin toys and wool

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
I subscribe to Rowan, interweave.
Would love to try Lion Brand, knit picks wool, Reynolds Whiskey, Loopy ewe
