A Cardie in search of Buttons

Finished - Tea Leaves in Madeleinetosh DK Venetian colourway

This was a fun knit and in praise of plain - there was a lot of plain knitting - it sort of reminds me of citrus shawl that Lyn finished last week.
But it was a soothing knit a bit like a good strong cup of tea.

Now I am having trouble choosing the next project to cast on....

I am having a small give away - a cone of red - I think 3/4 ply slightly fluffy leave a comment telling me what you might do with it - the more obtuse the better and it could be yours - decided by next weekend

and there has been a flurry of sock knitting here too - with one of the 'loving myself sick patterns complete'  now to rib like the blazes so I can lace again

Oh what a juicy tomato-red!! I have a very fear friend who answers to the nickname Juicy, and who tells anyone who'll listen about how wonderful my knitting is! She'll discuss blocking and felting, and she waited four years for a pair of socks (without complaining....much), whilst admiring the shawls and cardigans I was making for other people....so....if I was to win this glorious stuff?? I'd make Juicy her very own very special shawl, I might even put beads on it......

Looks like a trip to the button shop in Newtown is in store!

Love the kai-mei! So clever you!

Now, if I were to win a cone of red yarn, firstly I'm afraid it would sit around for some time, and then maybe I'd decide to learn to knit (tee hee, PomPom joke there!). I think in the end it'd be better won by someone else who would love it (by knitting it) straight away!!

{drool} madelinetosh.....so gorgeous!
god luck with the button-hunt - if you're coming to Bendigo there was a lady there with massive vintage-button stall, btw.

i cant believe you finished that cardi so quickly, its gorgeous. i had a suddent feeling it needed silver buttons, but what would i know, really?! as for the red, me and ricco might roll around in it for a while, before it took pride of place on the mantelpiece as decoration for a while, then id knit it into something from estonian lace.
