As I said I don't know much at all but here is a really interesting article regarding what went on....
I realised that I found out about the #spill via twitter as I was going to sleep, thanks Bells, and then that Gillard was PM as I was waiting for my train for work - Kris called it first and I turned to the girl sitting next to me on the platform and said - we have a female PM - she was as excited as I was.

was a huge night and day wasn't it?! thanks to twitter I felt like I'd lived through hours and hours of it before the 9am meeting even took place!
im still jittery with excitement! so proud of her!
